Aakash, the world’s cheapest Tablet by Indians has finally been in the market for 3Months .The Aakash is one of the cheapest tablet yet manufactured worldwide. It is marketed at a cheap price of Rs.2,500 .Already 3 lakh pieces have been booked for Aakash.Aakash Tablet was planned to be distributed in some universities but due its poor specifications, they were not able to do so.For college students it was available at a subsidized rate.
Do you know why Aakash Tablet was launched?
Aakash tablet was just launched to improvise the education system in India. Soon the Indian government finalized the deal with Datawind.I have never seen a person saying that it is a good tablet. The specifications would have been much better.
Reasons why you should never go for Aakash Tablet
Display, acts as a mirror
Yes, I mean the light reflects when the display is on. It comes with a display that too without a HD outsource. You can not read anything in sunlight or bright light.
Poor Touch screen
It is too often that we need to punch the screen for any response .You will get frustrated with this type of screen. This is the biggest problem.
Less connectivity Factors
Do you need to access the internet? You need to find WiFi! Yes you cannot connect to net without WiFi.The only connectivity is WiFi support. It does not have a Bluetooth nor you can connect a USB Dongle.
It’s too Hot
As it has a less powerful processor it gets hot too fast. Doing multitasking is nearly impossible on this tablet. The 366Mhz processor does not supports high end multitasking and gets heated up with one hour of continuous.
No External speakers
Aakash does not have a external speaker. That means you need to buy a earphone for that. Also,we will have to buy earphone separately as it is not included with the gadget.
Here are some Aakash alternatives which I recommend:
· ClassPad
· OLPC Xo-3
· MyPad 704U
· Reliance 3G tab
